FAQs

Frequently Asked Questions

For the best selection and value, I recommend beginning the planning process as early as possible. International journeys are ideally booked nine to twelve months in advance. However, some highly sought-after properties begin confirming reservations privately through their travel advisor relationships well before availability is released to the general public, making earlier planning especially valuable.

Travel centered around major events—such as Formula 1, Wimbledon, the Super Bowl —or during exceptionally popular seasons, including Kyoto’s cherry blossom season, should ideally be planned well over a year in advance.

Last-minute arrangements will always be accommodated if possible.

How far in advance should I start planning my trip?

I design journeys worldwide, with my deepest destination knowledge and experience centered throughout Europe.  Through my trusted global network of in-destination partners, I’m able to draw on current, firsthand insight to recommend exceptional accommodations and insider experiences wherever your travels take you.

While I am happy to plan a restorative resort escape, my expertise lies in journeys that balance active discovery with refined comfort—days spent golfing, skiing, kayaking, or on foot exploring CITIES, followed by exceptional accommodations and a well-earned opportunity to unwind. Thoughtfully orchestrated multi-city journeys through Europe are a particular focus of my work.

What destinations and types of travel do you plan?

There is no planning fee when booking a hotel or cruise you have already selected. You will still receive any available preferred-partner amenities, along with my personal oversight and support throughout your trip.

A planning fee applies to my Full-Service Travel Design and any requests involving research or recommendations.

This fee reflects the time and expertise involved in designing and managing your trip, from access to trusted partners and preferred benefits to complete booking coordination and support while you travel. Most planning fees are $300, with higher fees applying to longer or more complex journeys. Any applicable fee will be confirmed during your complimentary consultation.
